Hi gypsy, I'm cooking and transferring music to my IPOD. I am finally at "S" in downloading all my CDs, I may just finish this task. What are you up to?

I'm googling lol!
Actually I'm trying to figure out why the yogurt I made last night didn't set up properly. It's bugging me.

1st: you'll need some yogurt. That part always befuddles the husband for some reason.
Basically you heat milk up to 180 degrees, let it cool down and stir in some plain yogurt with live cultures (listed on the label). Then you put it in clean containers and keep in a warm place for approximately 4-24 hours depending on how sour you like it.
It's pretty simple really and this is the first problem batch I've ever had. I used 2 different brands as starter and it's odd because the brand I usually use is the one that didn't work.
The title you picked for this thread is funny. Obviously I "need a life" if I'm sitting around making yogurt LOL!

Aren't we the fun pair!!! I have to admit, the "I'm gonna make some yogurt, I better go to the store and get some yogurt" kinda cracks me up.

Hi Midas! What are you up to today?
I am making this low fat dish that I love. It's officially called Tubes and Cubes but I call it BBQ pasta cause it calls for tomatoe sauce and BBQ sauce. Sounds yucky but it's surprisingly good. I made enough for lunches this week and dinner tonight.
I'm at "T" on the ipod transfer, yay!

Tubes and cubes... never heard of that before. What else is in it? I love to cook. It's like a hobby... which works out well since the family needs to eat . As for Ipods and music transfers I leave that to my panel of experts (aka kids). Hubby is sitting here playing Far Cry at full blast on his PC. Do you get into those sort of games Midas?

Hi Tall, Gypsy and Midas. Sounds like food and frolic is
the universal laungauge of the day, Homemade yogurt
that you add yogurt to. Barbque pasta sauce and video games.
Yep, must be Sunday. I'm writting a research paper, I think I'd rather
be making yogurt, and playing video games, ha, ha. Hope3

I haven't played Far Cry, but I like adventure & role-play games. I cooked veggie soup the other night and finished the leftovers just now.

Hi Sharon. Do you need a life much too ? What's your paper on? Sundays are rather lazy around here. I've already been out gorcery shopping while 2 kids had CCD this morning and then to the movies to put a deposit down for my youngests b'day party. Now we've got the parade of in and out kids going off to other houses to hang out and then back again. Sometimes they all + the friends end up back here somehow! Yogurt doesn't need much in the way of attention... it pretty much babysits itself when it works right <grrrr>. Hmm still haven't figured out why there was so much whey in the one batch. Perhaps the starter was old. Oh well... it's still edible and will make perfectly fine smoothies. Oh don't get me started on homemade bacon lol. 6 more hours until Rome.

Ah-Ha, I bet it was the starter too. (I have no idea).
My paper is for experimental design class.
It's about conformity. Interesting subject really.
We have public conformity, private conformity, and just plain
not willing to go against the grain conformity...
I love the subject matter, just the APA format is not to my
liking....So I guess I better get back to it...Have a great day,
I'll check in later...when I need a life again,,hope3

Hey, I just ate lunch but I'll try some Tubes and Cubes tonight for dinner if you can send it on down. Wonderful to see a few of us made it here. Very thankful they have this backup site. Got to go do a few "honey do's" back in a bit.

gypsy, did you just say homemade bacon? For the pasta dish I bake chicken, then chop it up. I saute onions, garlic, zucchini, mushrooms, green and orange peppers. I add the tomatoe and bbq sauce to that mix with cooked pasta and voila. I also like to add chopped fresh cilantro and serve it with shredded cheese but that kinda negates the 'low fat' part.
Hope, what is your paper on?
Midas, I'm not good at role play games.. When I played the sims they all got depressed.. lol

Ultima Online... Britannica or whatever the game was... I can still hear that music tweddling in my head.
Get back to your paper Sharon... you can play later . You're right, it probably was that dang starter!
Bacon... yes. I need to make some. First, you need some bacon . No seriously... you need raw pork belly... curing salt, spices, sugar etc. It cures in the salt mixture in the fridge for about a week and then you smoke it in a smoker. It's great when my son walks in, smells it and says "OK, where's the pork Mom?" I get a kick out of that for some reason .
Hi Golfman!

Ed, there's enough tubes and cubes to go round, don't worry.
Homemade bacon, can I move in with you!!!
I'll have to check this 'Ultima' out.
