So this forum was created when the main site crashed a few years ago. I hope some of the regular weekenders will come over and post, look, it works! And there is a really easy to use "Shoutbox" which is like a chat right below. You just type and it is there. I'll stay logged in here and see if anyone comes over. Manta, hang on. Venus, I'm sure you'll be here - you're everywhere! Hm. I don't remember how to use emoticons...  |

(edit) ANDY in da house! I love that crazy cat. That's me, even before isolation. My favorite part about this forum is that I can edit for a really long time...at least an hour. Maybe forever, don't know!

I'm here! I remember using this years ago. I actually rather like it.
I had a falling-apart kind of day yesterday. It was mostly work-related. The stress of doing everything remotely got to me. I felt like 8 people were all asking me to do something RIGHT NOW and since everything takes a little longer online it seems, I was just drowning. I wanted to run away. I was ready to scream. I did some choice swearing and just tackled things one at a time and told a couple of people they would just have to wait. Then I calmed down and applied some coping tools. Deep breathing. had some tea. Slowed down. Counted blessings. I was ok by the end of the day but it was rough. It didn't help any that we had to go pick up my kid's cap and gown for high school graduation and I got to thinking about the huge changes coming and that put me in a small spiral. Ugh.
Anyhow. It's Friday. I'll get through today. Then tomorrow I'll putter in my garage and yard. I need to wire up the lights on my new utility trailer (it's mainly to haul mu kayak). Start thinking about getting out fishing soon. Weather finally feeling like spring here. Windows will be open while I work, soon. That'll be nice.

Back in the day Bim when forums were new and no sign is was required you would get everyone shouting ASL at you meaning age sex location... Or maybe and more likely I was just on dodgy forums.

Right? When I was newly sober SR did a big "upgrade" and all the colors on the site turned from blues to bright orange. I was completely freaked out. Severe PTSD plus new sobriety anxiety, ya know? Very sensitive to colors. I complained a lot (so did other people, it's not just me who is affected by some colors.) They did change it to the current black tones, the "Carbon" view.
